Founded in 1953 by the German Parliament, the German Design Council is the official national design promotion agency of Germany, dedicated to the discovery, recognition, and promotion of leading design through its international awards.

This year, the German Design Pavilion will feature the winning designs of the ICONIC AWARDS: INNOVATIVE ARCHITECTURE and the ICONIC AWARDS: INNOVATIVE INTERIOR, ranging from cabinetry, kitchen appliances, sanitary ware, lighting, and outdoor furniture to luxury German home furnishing brands. In addition to showcasing the subtle luxury of German design, the exhibition will feature innovative products that combines German craftsmanship and green sustainability into the “German Design Council Zone”, contributing to China’s “double carbon” strategic goal of energy saving and emission reduction for buildings and interior homes.

The German Design Pavilion will be hosting a forum during the Design Dome exhibition to showcase sustainable design practices in Germany.
